Joel, I was considering ordering the pull up bar offered on P90X but I don't have any inside doors which will accomidate its use. All of my doors margin beyond the door frame. So I will have to use the one I have which has a maximum width of 28 inches. No wide grip pull/chin ups. I think that I will have to work like that one fellow in the video with the tension bands, if I can put up an anchor on the ceiling. LOL

Hi Berry - you can look into the "Perfect Pullup" system. It has brackets that are screwed into the inside of a door frame, and then the bar is seated into the brackets during a workout. When you're finished, just lift the bar out of the brackets and store it. The bar is adjustable and can accommodate a wide variety of doorway widths. Hope that helps!

Joel, I am starting at 270 lbs and on the nutrition part of p90x if I follow the levels I would be a level 3 at 3000 calories. I am wondering if I can drop down to 1600 to gain faster results as long as I kept my energy. I used to be on a 1550 calories with a trainer working out 4-5 week

Hi Daniel, it's a tricky thing. You want to run a "negative calorie balance" (ie - eat fewer calories than you burn) - as big as possible. But, you also want to stay out of "starvation mode," which makes weight loss come to screeching hault!

At your weight, I feel like 1600 would be too few. I did 1,900 when I weighed 220. I think you should target 2,200 or so, and try to eat every 3 to 3.5 hours.
