BECOME A COACH!
Beachbody® Coaching - here's the straight scoop: I never thought I'd become a coach, and never wanted to be a coach. My experience with my coach was that she contacted me within a day of my creating an account, she tried to sell me a bunch of stuff and when I told her that I already had a plan (because I did, I had done my homework) she flew south and I never heard from her again. That soured me on the whole "coach thing."
As soon as I posted my Before/After pictures, I was contacted by many coaches who all wanted me to join their "team" (i.e. be a coach "under" them). This made me even more skeptical. About a month after befriending someone who's turned out to be a great friend, by chance, I learned that he was a coach himself. We started to discuss it and I became more open to the idea. I learned that Beachbody® Coaches receive a 25% discount on Beachbody® products, and because I was using an assortment of their supplements, it seemed like a logical idea to save money. I mean, at $14.95 per month to be a coach, I would be saving four times that amount in the discounts I'd be receiving on the supplements I was using. It became a no-brainer.
Well, almost immediately after becoming a coach I received numerous requests from people to "be their coach." Little did I know, but many (many!) people had been following my Beachbody® Message Board threads, and when I became a coach, I had already developed a rapport and trust with so many. My first two weeks as a coach saw me garner 25 customers, and within six weeks I had reached Emerald status and 60+ customers. Wow!
It costs $40 bucks, basically, to become a coach, and that gets you a surprisingly informative package in the mail that includes written literature and a couple of DVDs. Thereafter, it costs $14.95 per month to maintain your two websites on Team Beachbody® (a coach website and a Shakeology® website). That's it! To remain an "active" coach you have to maintain a monthly, self-generated PV (Projected Volume) of 50 points. If you order Shakeology® for yourself, that right there is worth 90 points and you've reached your monthly PV. Your $14.95 also gives you access to portions of Beachbody's website only available to coaches, such as the Coach's Message Board(s) and your own, unique "back office" (a portion of the website where you can track your customers, their purchases, your commissions and tons and tons of other stuff). There's a lot of training material there as well, plus videos and web/sales tools to assist you in developing your business.
How do you make money? Simply put, you make a 25% commission on whatever is sold through your website or to your customers. So for example, say last week I sold $1,000.00 worth of Beachbody® products. My weekly commission, at 25%, was $250.00. Ultimately, the goal of a coach is to create a "downline" of coaches and develop them into successful coaches themselves. When you're successful, and the coaches below you are successful, you can achieve "cycle bonuses", which can really add up. Does your spouse stay at home? Some of the most successful Beachbody® coaches are stay-at-home moms who took on coaching as a time-filler, discovered they really enjoyed it and became very proficient at it. One of my "upline" people started off exactly that way 2+ years ago. At first she made $50 per week, then a couple hundred bucks per week and now she makes several thousand (yes, several THOUSAND) per week and has 92 personally-sponsored coaches in her organization, wow!
You can put as much time into coaching as you want, and you can let your business develop as slowly or quickly as you'd like. I started out probably putting in a little over an hour per day just answering emails, private messages and questions. I recommend BB products if I like them, and if I don't then I won't. Once you get (2) coaches underneath you (in your "downline") then you achieve "Emerald" status and Beachbody® assigns customers to you! Yes, no cold-calling, no customer-hunting - Beachbody® just assigns them to you - free! It becomes your job to then guide them through their Beachbody® program, whatever that may be. Anything "Beachbody®" they purchase (through your Beachbody® coach site) thereafter earns you a 25% commission, and if you can develop a good relationship with them, then they become strong "coaching" candidates themselves.
